Adult activities and ministries

Memorial UMC offers a variety of seasonal options for Adults. Current activities include:

Men’s Class – Age 18 up
The current sessions are topical discussions with biblical reference. Class members lead the discussions in Room 100 in the upper level education wing across from Price Chapel.
Women’s Class – Age 18 up
This group in meets in Price Chapel, located in the upper level. Individuals share leadership responsibility.

Praise Team
Our praise team includes teens and adults. They sing as a full group and also in smaller teams as needed. Music styles vary and are accompanied by guitar, drums and keyboard or piano.
Choir
The choir is typically composed of members over 18 yrs of age. A blend of traditional style hymns and praise songs are sung.
Bell Choir
Our bell choir enhances our worship and its members ring out tunes during special events.

Visual / Audio Team
This team manages the sound and visual component of our worship service and assists as needed during other events.

Infant care in our nursery / preschool area
Love children? Help us during services and events and allow parents to focus on the worship.
Kids
Sunday School and events for kids benefit from having helpers for our leaders / teachers.
Youth
We have 2 groups: MSM (Middle School Ministry) and HSH (High School Ministry). Both groups offer opportunities for adults to volunteer their time, talents and love.

Although infrequent, past mission trips have included local and distant trips like:

Impact Missions – local home repairs

Haiti – CrossRoads Haiti Mission to paint a new church

Nicaragua – VBS

Louisiana – Katrina Hurricane Restoration
