Where is Memorial UMC located?
Our church building is located at 101 South Hess St., in the heart of Quarryville, PA. Up the street you’ll see Quarryville Elementary School and the Solanco School District offices. Down the street you’ll see Shining Stars Childcare and the Ephrata National Bank. And, we’re a long stone’s throw from the Solanco Fairgrounds and SECA pool.

Monday: 1PM – 5:30PM
Tuesday: 2PM – 5:30PM
Wednesday: 2PM – 6PM
Thursday: 2PM – 6PM
Friday: 2PM – 6PM
When are Sunday Activities?
- Traditional Worship Service starts at 8:30 am and lasts until approximately 9:30 am.
- Fellowship Time starts at 9:40 am and lasts until approximately 10:20 am.
- Contemporary Worship Service starts at 10:30 am and lasts until approximately 11:30 am.
- MSM (Middle School Ministry) and Preschoolers through 5th Grade meet every Sunday morning after the Praise and Worship portion of the Contemporary Service in their respective Youth or Children’s Wing (lower level areas).
- HSM (High School Ministry) is on Wednesday nights for a specific purpose… so on Sundays they may also serve on ministry teams and worship in the sanctuary.
What should I do when I arrive?
If you decide to attend our Worship Services, ideally everyone is seated 5 minutes prior to each Service. Our Fellowship Time between the Services provides time for refreshment and fellowship among all attendees.
Is the church handicap accessible?
Yes. You may enter from the carport entrance to use the church upper level for the sanctuary or adult educational wing access …. or park in the parking lot and use our elevator to access all levels.
What type of worship do you offer?
Our 8:30 Traditional Service offers familiar hymns, with organ and piano accompaniment. The 10:30 Contemporary Service includes praise songs generally accompanied by guitar, drums and keyboard. Both Services provide a God-glorifying worship gathering. You’ll see high schoolers serving on one of the ministry teams (A/V, Worship Team, Kids Team, Middle School Ministry) or worshiping with everyone else. We livestream the service here.
What should I wear?
Come as you are. Some people dress up while others dress casual. We invite you to wear what you feel comfortable wearing.
Do you offer Sunday School?
Memorial offers classes for Middle School and Elementary School Students after the Praise and Worship portion of the Contemporary Service in our lower level areas. For Adult Groups, each small group determines an agreeable schedule and can meet anytime on Sunday or during the week. High School Ministry takes place on Wednesday nights at 7 pm.
Why is the High School Ministry only on Wednesday nights?
With our current leadership capabilities, we can spend more quality time with out High School age students on Wednesday nights between 7 – 9 pm. We encourage our high school students to help with the younger students or participate in the Sunday worship service, such as helping with the audio-video teams.
How about a nursery for younger children?
The infants and toddlers room is fully staffed during the Contemporary Worship Service only.
