Meet the people who lead our ministry and activities.

Dr. Dave Coryell
Pastor Doug Paglia

LEAD PASTOR

I grew up in the country of Northwest Berks County, less than fifty miles from Quarryville. I came to know Jesus Christ as my Lord and Savior during confirmation class at Zion United Methodist Church in Myerstown. Following graduation from high school I attended Messiah College (now University) where I met my wife, Jen. After college I began serving as a local church Youth Pastor while attending seminary and working on my ordination process. I eventually completed a Master’s of Divinity at Evangelical Seminary and was asked to begin offering youth ministry classes. I was blessed to serve a United Methodist church in Elizabethtown that the conference youth and young adult coordinator called the strongest program in the conference. While this was flattering, I was struggling to direct a ministry that had grown far beyond our expectations. I trusted the Lord, and applied for the Arrow Leadership Program hoping God could use this training to guide my work at the church. ALP, known by many as the Green Berets or Navy Seals of Christian ministry training, was used by God to powerfully shape my life. An option was to use ALP toward a Doctorate in Ministry with an emphasis on Leadership and Evangelism through Gordon-Conwell Seminary. In 2007 I began to serve as the Executive Director of Christian Endeavor. By God’s grace this ministry was relaunched in 2012 and has now grown into fourteen US states. In December 2016, my role with CE became 50% USA and 50% CEO (known internationally as General Secretary) for Christian Endeavor World. I have had the honor of training pastors, leaders, youth workers, and youth on six continents and traveled to fifty-four countries. Who would have thought that a country boy from the woods and cornfields of rural Pennsylvania would travel the world for the Lord Jesus Christ?

Jen and I have been married for 29 years and are blessed with four children – Katelyn (26 and living in Lancaster), Ben (24, married to Ally, living in Huntsville, Alabama), Kendra (21 and earning a Masters in Athletic Training from Indiana Wesleyan University in Marion, Indiana) and Zach (19 and studying business with a minor in youth ministry at Lancaster Bible College). We live in Ephrata about forty minutes from Quarryville where my eighty-nine year old mother, Nancy, also lives with us. Jen and I enjoy hiking, games, and family time. Jen is a certified Revelation Wellness Instructor. Rev Well uses fitness to share the gospel. She is also starting a Physical Therapist Assistant program at Central Penn College. I am a long suffering Philadelphia and Penn State sports fan, love to play strategy games, watch movies, read to learn, and guide people to fulfill their dreams for Christ.

EDDIE ADAMS
Pastor Doug Paglia

ASSOCIATE PASTOR & YOUTH PASTOR

eddie@quarryville.church

Born and raised in Lancaster city, Eddie grew up having a relationship with Jesus but didn’t really begin to make his faith his own until his sophomore year when a friend invited him to church. He fell in love with Jesus and wanted to pursue ministering to students so that they could also experience the same God that changed his life.

In 2015 he went on to Lancaster Bible College to earn a bachelors degree (double major) in Biblical Studies and Youth & Young Adult Ministry. Before becoming the Youth Pastor here at Memorial Church, Eddie was on staff at the Hanover LCBC location as their Student Ministry Pastor from 2018 to 2020.

The best decision that he had ever made (second to trusting Jesus with his life) was marrying the love of his life, Caleigh. They have been married since 2018 and have an incredible newborn son named Judah. They enjoy a life together that is filled with food, family, friends, and ministry. Eddie now serves as the Associate Pastor while maintaining Youth Pastor responsibilities.

Rae Carroll

CONTEMPORARY WORSHIP LEADER

office@quarryville.church

(717) 786-2941

Rachel “Rae” Carroll was born and raised in New Jersey alongside her two older brothers. Though her whole family has a passion for music, Rae was the only one to pursue it as a career. During her undergraduate studies at Susquehanna University (SU), she majored in Music Composition and was always creating music for her friends, ensembles, and actors as she wrote a musical. At SU, there was an organization called DiscipleMakers which allowed her to continue her walk with God and further ignite her inner fire for shining His light.

Now, Rae is pursuing a Masters in Music Therapy & Counseling and preparing for her December wedding! In her spare time, she is never without a book, usually has several art projects begging to be finished, and loves to help with home renovations. More than anything, Rae is thrilled to join the Memorial Church’s community as a music maker, leader, and a future friend to all.
